Ravishing Winter by Kristina Van Dyk

Zooey Magazine, Winter Trends This winter trends editorial, styled and directed by Kristina Van Dyk, has become one of our favorite shoots to have worked on. This feature was photographed by Christopher Nowling in Los Angeles, who also happens to be Kristina Van Dyk's boyfriend (what a duo-team!). Zooey's trends feature doesn't serve as a template for your every day outfits and styles, but serves as inspiration for the beautiful winter season. We seek to inspire, not to shape you into a mold. So, we present trends that will hopefully brighten your season.

Zooey Magazine's Holiday Cards

As the holidays fast approach, we are bound by cheerful duties including sending out our annual holiday cards! This year, we had the honor to print with Erin Condren - an online company that loves colors as much as we do. We had 100 beautiful cards printed...and we couldn't have asked for anything better.

We chose the "Trellis" design - vertical format to fit our Nikki Reed image (photographed by Derek Wood).

It arrived in the cutest packaging!

Our intern Tiffany Ma was hard at work, assembling them to perfection. Hand writing each recipient is sentimental, and we sealed each envelope with our return address sticker - also provided by Erin Condren.

We absolutely loved sending these out. We have to thank Erin Condren for producing the best holiday cards. They have an amazing, hard-working group of people behind all their paper beauty and we are just in love. Now, we just need to get our hands on those life planners! Nothing better than having your everyday-items customized. Right, ladies?

If you're in the mood for more shopping, we must direct you to Erin Condren. We are serious. They make the holidays a breeze. If you like being organized as much as we do, those life planners will be the perfect gift for yourself and for your friends.

And, we know you want our holiday card too! We're giving away two of these! Tweet us: "I want @ZooeyMagazine's @ErinCondren Christmas card!" and you'll be entered to win! We'll send the cards out on Monday just in time for Christmas. If you don't celebrate Christmas, you have the honor of hanging up a really pretty card!

What do your holiday cards look like?

Bethany Joy Lenz in London's East End

Bethany Joy Lenz is not just another actress. Yes, we all recognize her from her long-time role as Haley James Scott in CW's "One Tree Hill." But to us, we see her first as a mother, and then we have to list out her other occupations - musician, singer, entrepreneur, activist, blogger, and fashionista. After we spent some time with Lenz in Los Angeles back in January, we discovered how infatuated we were with her. She exudes this very warm light when she walks in a room - she's simply someone you want to know, understand, and befriend.

While Lenz traveled in Europe earlier this year, we had to catch her during her time off. We sent our friend Emily-Jane Robinson to film and photograph Lenz as she explored Brick Lane, a little hip area of London's East End. One of Lenz's favorite things to do is shop in vintage stores, so we of course had to invade The Vintage Emporium and Beyond Retro.

What resulted from this afternoon adventure...is the below.
