Illustrators Wanted!

Zooey Magazine, Art In our Summer 2013 issue, we asked six illustrators to draw what they thought the "Zooey" girl looked like. Our expectations were exceeded when we were sent beautiful portraits with details on why each drawing resembled our readers!

The above image is a drawing by the talented Esther Kang, which was featured in the current issue!

For our upcoming issue, we are asking for another set of six illustrators nationwide to draw us something special to be published in print. If you are interested in a challenge, send us an email with your portfolio!

Deadline to email: July 14, 2013

We decided to compile some of our favorite shots of Emma Chapman and Elsie Larson of A Beautiful Mess, and also rounded up a few outtakes that we didn't include in the magazine. If you haven't heard the news, Zooey hits stands in a week or two, but we have it on sale in our new online shop! The summer issue is available for pre-order and will ship out very soon! We're so excited for fans to see this issue, and we're going to promise it'll be a total keeper.

Let us know what you think of the photos on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook!

Zooey Magazine had the opportunity to work with Staci Nguyen on a nail art collaboration, and we took it! Roneil Chavez photographed this beautiful, retro-inspired editorial for our Spring 2013 issue (which is now available as a digital edition in our shop!). And Jeanne San Diego perfected our favorite beauty looks! Big hair? We're there.

We loved styling this fun feature, using lots of color and patterns from Shop Ruche and even Lauren Moffatt. And how about the Stella Dot jewelry? We are in awe of how fun and easy it is to wear these versatile pieces.

Would you wear any of these outfits?
