Day in the Life | Monches Farm

Stephanie Sanchez and her darling trio recently headed to their local nature preserve and then to Monches Farm in Colgate, WI. The kids spent their time exploring the beautiful outdoors by collecting leaves, gourds, and sticks sans their tech gadgets. These are the moments we encourage and these are certainly the moments that will always be treasured (regardless of some pouting along the way).

How do you get the kids to appreciate nature? When was the last time you had an adventure this sweet and simple?

Day in the Life | Kadish Park

There is simply nothing more memorable than the time spent together with family. Stephanie Sanchez shares:

Last night we ventured out to Kadish Park in Milwaukee for a picnic. It was brutally hot, but the kids were so excited to have a picnic. Yet, the excitement wasn't fueled by the idea of the food or sitting outdoors on a blanket. The kids were ready ready to explore.

We spent our evening dancing around, smelling wildflowers, and searching for buried treasure. I love how no matter where we go, their imaginations soar and adventures unfold.

Day in the Life | The Sanchez Family

Every year, the Sanchez Family ventures to Barthel Fruit Farm in Wisconsin. This time, we headed out with them. Stephanie Sanchez (mother of 3 and also a Zooey Magazine contributor), tells us:

This farm gives you a break from the city with a genuine feel for community. As the kids (Madelynn, Noah, and Story) are getting older, they are becoming even more familiar with the farm. They always get excited to pick their berries under the heat of the summer sun and among the sound of laughter from all of the other families there. Once we finish our strawberry picking, we immediately come home and make smoothies. This year, we decided to also make strawberry muffins, which were a huge hit.

We sat outside together on our porch devouring our treats with the kids radiating happiness. This simple tradition is one I look forward to every year.

What is your outdoor summer tradition? Please share in the comments, so we can gather inspiration for our next adventure!
