It is September, which means it's Zooey's birthday month! We're turning the big ol' two! It's been quite a ride to be where we are today, and without the support of our readers...we'd be at a dead-end. We thank you for coming to visit our site each day, buying copies of Zooey, and simply following us on our social networks. Today, we're going to give you 10 facts that you may have not known about Zooey!

1. Zooey Magazine was named after J.D. Salinger's novel "Franny and Zooey." 2. Each issue is designed on Adobe InDesign CS5. 3. Our first cover girl was Lindsey Shaw ("10 Things I Hate About You," "Pretty Little Liars"). 4. At every cover shoot, we have a Polaroid camera that shoots only with Impossible Project film. 5. The youngest staff member is Lucia Tran (19), who is also the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Zooey Magazine. 6. Currently, all interns are hired exclusively from UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles). 7. The Creative Director, Lyndzi Trang, was an accountant before she became a celebrity/fashion stylist. 8. We photographed our cover girl Julianne Hough at our Fashion Editor's (Kristina Van Dyk's) house. 9. Our Director of Online Photography, Vince Trupsin, is a professional dancer and photographer. 10.
